Once upon a time there was a wooden bench. It didn’t say a word, and yet it promised comfort, safety and steadiness.

Something about the solid wood it was made of, and the scruffs from beyond times or who knows when. It was like it always would be there, even though it obviously was perishable.

Although the years had gone, the wood had been reused and the bench could now be someone’s safety spot.

It would prefer to be placed inside since it didn’t had the necessary coating to protect it against wind and weather. But it would strive to be the most reliable bench and a great place to curl up and get cozy with a cup of tea.

“Do you like tea?” The bench wondered.
